The elusive cup

It's unavailable in most of India it seems (I bet that's what every place that sells it says to justify the pricing). India isn't into shot-glass marketing even for tourism. I got this one in pewter at the airport at a rather steep 1000 bucks. But how could I starve my collection?

I think the oblique angle is beautiful... and the pewter looks like pure silver. And any collection without the home country ought to be incomplete. Good work!

Krish -> Thanks... Yes indeed, that's one of the main reasons I bought this one. Besides it's so pretty with engraved elephants and all. A jewel in my collection.. Thanks for visiting as always and keep coming back :)

super looking cup, a very nice addition to your collection! Must say a real neat shot, love the oblique angle and the focus is tack sharp.
TO avoid the glare on the left side of the cup, shoot the picture in even lighting, and if that means a really slow shutter speed, use a tripod and set on self timer and shoot. You will be surprised, what a drastic difference and a more pleasing result will be achieved. Soft lighting rocks :D

Shiva -> Thanks! Yes, we got a tripodently and have been experimenting with it. We tried out a lightbox today which had pleasing results... even with a low power bulb. I bet u'll see that post sooner than later and so I'll save u the trouble. Well, will u believe that the picture in this post is a shot I took as a reflection on a mirror? I then reversed it in the software.. I m pretty pleased with myself :D. Happy New Year to you n Poorni!
