The perfect lie

Know how some people can't lie? Like their lips lie but their faces and especially their eyes give them away? Well I used to be one of them... But now you know the second category? The liars-on-fire type? Where it's second skin for them to roll out the lies off their tongues and it's just as good as the truth being told, except that it's not? Now here's the third kind. Those who've gotten so good at lying that they start to believe that it's the truth. It is true... once you keep repeating something over and over again, even though it is not true, it starts sounding true. You soon lose sight of what is real and what is not. I am caught in limbo somewhere. To be continued...

The first category is normal people. The second category is actors - fraudsters - scamsters and the like. And the third category is politicians :).

I have come across few, for whom lying is effortless and natural;for them truth is total stranger. Remember, liars need good memory. Guess, how two liars enjoy their relationship?

Actually I believe you go through the phases sequentially...one starts off a 'novice'..eventually you get good enough to fool people and eventually you're so good you fool yourself!!
Well said though J!

Ram uncle -> I agree you need to have good memory while lying. it's important to remember all the excuses taht you've given... because if you don't others will. :D

Anon -> It's ture also... but seriously.. reaching a stage where you convince youself is kinda pathetic - which is where the politician comment by the Muse brings a smile to the face.

Thanks n keep visiting, y'all!
