Key to true and everlasting happiness

Over the years I have discovered and perfected the key to true everlasting happiness - zero expectations. People may have told you a variety of things... But nothing can actually substitute experiencing it yourself. And the best results are in the most important of things. When you don't expect something of a person, not only are you not disappointed something didn't happen or they didn't do something for you... But importantly, it makes the times they do count much more. You are taken completely by surprise and the joy it brings is obviously way past what it would if you had anticipated it happening.

Somebody, surprise me.

if u ask me i think it is too idealistic...u really cant live a life without expectations from ppl arnd u...come on after all the very fact that they are close to u is becuase u live upto each other's expectations... in the sense what i am trying to say is that becuase ppl are close to u...u expect a certain behaviour from them..for example a shoulder to cry on...and i believe u would be a million times happy if the expectations come true...as for living with zero expectations i think its a lil utopian and artificial...

Sud -> I have to disagree with you. The disappointment you face when someone close doesnt live upto something far outweighs the satisfaction if they did because of simple logic -- u expected it to happen in the first place... Utopian maybe.. But seriously I have treaded this path maybe not on some Gita-sorta way, but to the extent that the little positives seem huge and the huge negatives seem negligible... Be in my shoes and pretty soon u'll understand!
