Mona Lisa

They've changed the rules of the Grand Gallery at the Louvre... Anyone can now take as many pictures as they will.. Here's one -

But the fantasy is lost.. The last time I was there, I had a fun time trying to get past the guard's attentions in getting a clandestine picture of the lady.. In fact I have saved well over 10 shaken photographs from that trip. This time around, it was simple.. If you waited for 2 minutes, you would get a position in the dead center and could take a photo square on. How boring.

Really...that sounds so weird...anyway, next visit to Louvre, dont need to hid the camera from Mona Lisa

Oh I didnt hide the camera at all.. This picture was from a slight angle to the center. I have many others that I took while I was at it. This is one of them. I have many more pics of the grand gallery as I flamboyantly whipped out the camera and clicked away. :)

The Louvre has a lot more treasures than just the Mona Lisa. And its just 9 euros.. Thats cheap for something that magnitude

You are right....its huge and 9 euro is somewhat cheap and there are lot more than mona lisa...to be frank, I could not figure out why Mona Lisa is so famous...may be because I am not art crazy...

She is famous bcoz Da Vinci claimed she was his best work of art and carried her everywhere he went thereafter... And from a Master who has painted some of the most brilliant paintings in the Renaissance period, it was a tall claim. Mona Lisa is simply famous because of that.
